Vanuatu is a South Pacific Ocean nation, stretching for 1,300 kilometres, made up of approximately 80 islands and is most known for offering scuba diving at coral reefs. Vanuatu has a very limited number of roads and providing access to healthcare and critical vaccines has long been a major challenge.

Startups “Swoop Aero” and “WingCopter”, in partnership with UNICEF have successfully drone-delivered the first vaccines to 13 people and five pregnant women earlier this week. The vaccines were carried in a styrofoam container filled with ice packs and a data logger to ensure the temperature control within safe range.
